Where to confirmThe official Steam store page

Let's be straight with you up front: Nacon and ACE Team haven't published official PC requirements for The Mound yet. The Steam page is live for wishlisting, but the system requirements section hadn't been filled in with final numbers at the time of writing. Anything you see claiming to be "the" specs right now is an estimate โ€” including ours. The difference is that we'll show our reasoning and clearly label what's a guess.

First, ignore the fake specs

If you've searched this already, you may have run into aggregator sites listing absurd "requirements" like a Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, and a GeForce 510. Those are auto-generated placeholders, and they're nonsense for a game like this. The Mound is releasing only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S โ€” there's no PS4 or Xbox One version. A game that skips last-gen consoles entirely is not going to run on a 15-year-old laptop GPU. Treat those listings as filler, not facts.

A quick tell for fake specs: if the "minimum" GPU predates the game by more than a console generation, someone's database filled in a default. Real requirements for a current-gen-only 2026 title start much higher.

Our expected requirements unofficial estimate

Here's where we'd reasonably expect the bar to land, based on the game being current-gen-only, ACE Team's visual ambitions (dense jungle, volumetric fog, the sanity-warped rendering effects), and how comparable 2026 co-op horror games have shipped. These are estimates, not confirmed numbers โ€” we'll replace this table the moment official specs go up.

ComponentExpected Minimum (1080p / 30โ€“60fps)Expected Recommended (1080pโ€“1440p / 60fps)
OSWindows 10 64-bitWindows 11 64-bit
CPUIntel Core i5-8400 / Ryzen 5 2600Intel Core i5-11400 / Ryzen 5 5600
RAM12โ€“16 GB16 GB
GPUNVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 580 8GBNVIDIA RTX 3060 / AMD RX 6600 XT
StorageSSD strongly recommendedSSD required

If your rig clears that recommended row, you should be in comfortable shape for a smooth 60fps. If you're around the minimum, expect to drop a few settings โ€” particularly fog density and shadow quality, which tend to be the heaviest options in atmospheric horror games like this.

Will it run on Steam Deck?

No official Steam Deck rating has been assigned yet, so we can't promise "Verified." That said, plenty of current-gen-only co-op horror games do run on the Deck at 30fps with tuned settings, so it's a reasonable hope rather than a guarantee. The bigger question mark for a game like this is text legibility on a small screen and whether the online co-op holds up on the go. We'll update this section once Valve issues a compatibility rating.

What about consoles?

On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S there's nothing to configure โ€” the game is built for that hardware as its baseline, so you can expect a stable target framerate out of the box. If you're weighing platforms, remember the whole squad can play together regardless thanks to crossplay; we cover that in our co-op & crossplay guide.

When will official specs arrive?

Publishers usually finalize and post PC requirements in the weeks leading up to launch, so expect the real numbers to appear on the official Steam page sometime before July 15. Wishlist the game and you'll be in a good position to check the moment they go live. We're watching that page and will swap our estimates for the confirmed specs as soon as they're up.

FAQ

Are these the official system requirements?

No. Official specs haven't been published yet. Everything in the table above is a reasoned estimate, clearly labeled, and will be replaced with confirmed numbers when Nacon posts them.

Can my PC run The Mound?

If you can comfortably run other current-gen-only 2026 games at 1080p, you're very likely fine. A GTX 1060 / RX 580-class card or better is our expected floor โ€” but wait for official specs before buying any new hardware.

Does The Mound need an SSD?

Not officially confirmed, but because it targets PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, an SSD is very likely required or strongly recommended on PC.

Is there a Steam Deck verified rating?

Not yet. We'll update this article when Valve assigns one.

We'll keep this page current as official details land. While you wait, line up your crew with our co-op & crossplay guide and get the launch basics in our release date, platforms & price breakdown.
