An independent, fan-built encyclopedia dedicated to helping explorers survive the cold cognitive deep of The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu.

WHO WE ARE

The Mound Fan Wiki is an independent resource created and maintained by a small group of cosmic-horror enthusiasts and long-time fans of the Cthulhu Mythos. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ACE Team or Nacon. We built this site because we love Lovecraftian fiction and co-op survival games, and we wanted a single, well-organized home for everything an explorer needs before descending into K'n-yan.

WHAT WE COVER

Our goal is to be the most accurate and useful companion guide for The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. As the game approaches its July 15, 2026 release and beyond, we maintain and expand:

  • Survival Guides — co-op tactics, sanity management, combat, and extraction strategy.
  • Mythos Lore — the story of K'n-yan, Yoth, and N'kai, grounded in the source fiction.
  • Bestiary — threat levels, habitats, behaviors, and weaknesses for every creature.
  • Equipment Database — weapons, tools, and optimal loadouts for every team size.
  • Expedition Planner — interactive tools to estimate sanity drain, weight, and extraction odds.

OUR SOURCES

The game draws directly on the 1929 novella The Mound by Zealia Bishop and H. P. Lovecraft, which is the foundation for much of our lore content. For gameplay details, we rely on official developer devlogs, trailers, and announcements from ACE Team and Nacon, alongside hands-on impressions from public beta phases. Because the game is still pre-release, some gameplay-specific entries are clearly noted as preliminary and are updated as new official information becomes available.

OUR EDITORIAL APPROACH

We aim for clarity, accuracy, and respect for both the source fiction and the developers' work. Speculative or unconfirmed information is labeled as such. When the game launches and mechanics are confirmed, we revise our guides to reflect verified, tested data rather than pre-release estimates. If we get something wrong, we want to fix it — corrections are always welcome via our contact page.

HOW WE FUND THIS SITE

This wiki is free to use. To cover hosting and the time spent researching and writing, the site is supported by unobtrusive display advertising. We do not charge for any content, and advertising never influences our guides, ratings, or recommendations.
